Health guarantee All birds leave Luma Aviaries in good health and are sold with a 72-hour health guarantee from the date of delivery or pickup. Luma Aviaries does not knowingly sell sick birds. If your bird shows signs of illness within this window that can be attributed to a documented pre-existing congenital defect or serious systemic condition, we will work with you toward a resolution, which may include a replacement bird of equal value, a store credit, or a partial refund, at our sole discretion. To activate the health guarantee, you must have your bird examined by a licensed avian veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving it and provide written documentation of the diagnosis. Claims submitted without a veterinary report cannot be honored. The bird must also have its band intact at the time of examination. Please note that this guarantee covers congenital defects and serious systemic illness only. It does not cover minor bacterial infections, subclinical findings, or conditions consistent with shipping stress or environmental adjustment, as these can develop or present after sale independent of the bird's health at the time of delivery. Bacterial infections, unless indicative of a serious underlying systemic disease as documented by a licensed avian veterinarian, are not covered under this guarantee. All veterinary costs are the sole financial responsibility of the buyer. Luma Aviaries and Conservation LLC assumes no liability for any veterinary fees, examinations, treatments, or related expenses incurred at any point following purchase. This guarantee does not cover injury, illness, or death resulting from improper diet, housing, handling, exposure to household hazards, or exposure to other birds or animals in the buyer's care.
