Text message notifications

BirdBreeders.com, LLC · Last updated September 23, 2026

Breeders who list birds on BirdBreeders.com can choose to get a text message when a buyer contacts them or places an order, instead of finding out the next time they sign in. Texts are optional, off by default, and only ever sent to breeders who asked for them.

How you opt in

Sign in to your breeder account and go to My Profile. Under Text messages you enter the mobile number you want texts on and tick this box:

Text me when I get a new message or an order.

By ticking this you agree to receive text messages from BirdBreeders.com at the number above. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. See our text message terms and privacy policy.

The box is unticked until you tick it. We never add a number from anywhere else — not from your public profile, not from an order, not from a listing — and we never text anyone who has not ticked it. Consent is not a condition of listing birds, selling, or anything else on the site.

What we send

Message frequency varies, because it follows your own buyers: a breeder with birds ready to go can get several in a day, and a breeder between clutches may get none for a fortnight. We do not send marketing, promotions, or anything you did not ask for.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message and we stop texting that number immediately. You can also untick the box on My Profile, which removes your consent and your number. Reply HELP to any message for help, or email support@birdbreeders.com.

Stopping texts does not affect your account, your listings, or anything else. You will still get the same notifications by email and in the site.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for text notifications; your mobile carrier may.

Your number

The mobile number you give for texts is used to send you those texts and nothing else. It is never shown on your public profile and never given to buyers. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text-message consent with anyone for their own marketing. The full policy is on our privacy page, and the terms that cover your account are in our Platform Terms of Service.
