Scientific Name: Pionus senilis Native Range: Central America The White-Capped Pionus, also known as the White-Crowned Pionus, is a medium-sized parrot species within the family Psittacidae. Characterized by its dark green body plumage, blue tones on the wings and neck, red undertail coverts, and a distinct white patch on the forehead, which gives the species its common name. White-Capped Pionus parrots inhabit humid forests, forest edges, woodlands, and agricultural areas across Central America. They nest in tree cavities and may be found in pairs or small flocks. Great sized bird for family pet
