Hand Raised and totally spoiled Harlequin Macaw. He's such a sweet boy and I can't help myself but to brag on him. Now where to start.... He loves getting as much attention as he can. He's the one that could be glued to you for that attention. On the two pictures above (snuggling) this is what he did. He was sitting quietly on his tree stand and when I walked in the room, sat down in my recliner with my feet up. He flew down walked over to me trying to find his way up, lowered my leg and he climbed up my jeans and into my lap so he can get attention. He absolutely loves to have his head scratched. Cuddling up on my lap he wanted to snuggle. He will put his head under my chin and lay flat to my body as he's getting petted. He's always loves being held. Even with all the loves an snuggles he really enjoys playing with you. Sitting on the floor he will walk up to me and hold his foot up and place it so gently in my hand. He wants me to roll him over and play. Laying on his back, his feet playing back an forth with my hand and the other hand in his mouth. He's very gentle when my hand or fingers are in his mouth. If for some chance he adds a little pressure from the excitement of playing I will simply tell him easy and he will stop the pressure or just release. I can get both feet and swing him back an forth easy while he was on his back. He loves playing with the dogs toys, roll a ball (sm or Lg) tug a war with a rag or toy. Then he can also find enjoyment by chewing on my shoe strings if I let him. Has started saying some words, Mama, Hello, peek a boo. Oh and he's so funny when I play peek a boo with him. Sitting on the floor he'll start walking around me, looking for something to put in his mouth :), as he starts coming around the other side I will turn back and say peek a boo and turn back as to hide my face, He comes walking around the side of me with his body leaning outward neck stretched around trying to see me, then I do it again, He gets so excited he'll jump and run to the front of me to try and see my face that I've covered with my hands. Just like you would play with a child doing this. I just couldn't stop laughing at the reaction he gives. My stories can go on and on about him. I want to find someone that will spend time with him. He's not the type to stay in a cage all day. His personality is so amazing, extremely sweet an loving, playful, and one that you just can't help yourself but to laugh at the stuff he does. This bird is for the one that really wants to spend time with a large bird as it would be just like a child at times and other times like a puppy. He's young enough to learn so much more. Make sure you have the time he needs to live a long and happy life.
