Baby Buffon's Macaw (Ara ambiguus) Available! This species of Macaw is native to Central and South America. They are among the largest species of macaw and have a beautiful green plumage with bright red frontal patches. They are known for their sweet, gentle, playful personalities. Buffons require a high-fat diet, consisting primarily of walnuts and other tree nuts, seeds, pellets, fruits, and vegetables. Ideally, the minimum cage size for this size bird is 42"x32"x75" with a 1"bar spacing. Due to their jaw strength, stainless less is preferred.
