Kathy is a caring, patient, responsive and responsible breeder of great babies! I found Kathy through this site and we corresponded via email - she always responded quickly with thoughtful answers to all of my questions. I had my baby Hanh's flown nonstop to Atlanta on Delta and he arrived safely. Be sure to make a special request for a direct flight - it may cost a little more but is worth it for their health and safety. He's extremely friendly, cuddly and talkative. I feel very fortunate.

We just can’t say enough about Kathy and Feathered Treasures, of her wonderfully raised birds, her genuine nature, honesty & true passion for what she does & does so well. She was extremely patient with us, accommodating our unique situation & fielding all our questions by phone, e-mail or in person. We traveled 5 hours to meet Kathy at her warm, inviting & immaculate home to get our baby quaker, who was so well socialized & healthy. Kathy is an outstanding bird breeder and a delightful person!

Kathy is awesome! We drove 6 hours one way to pick up our Hahns. Kathy went above and beyond. Also checked with to make sure we all (birds included) made it home safely. Helpful in every way! Excellent breeder!

Kathy is a very reputable breeder. I got an illiger's macaw. Kathy is very easy to get in touch with and went above and beyond to care for the bird and acclimate him to the move before we took him home. She called him by the name I picked (Stevie) and got him used to the carrier for the ride home, since we drove a long distance to pick him up. She also answered questions I had after I brought him home. Stevie was a little nervous to meet us, but once home he became very sweet and easy to handle.

Kathy is wonderful and patient and really cares for her birds. We traveled 5 hours to meet our new baby Hahns Macaw and were not able to get there till late in the evening and she still let us take our time making our decision and had lots of helpful advice. Her home is in a nice area and is immaculately clean. The birds are all well cared for with fresh food and spotless cages. I highly recommend her as a breeder.

We adopted our Hahns Macaw from Kathy 6yrs ago. Keegan is her name, and we are so glad that we found Kathy. Our experience getting a baby from her was exceptional. Kathy really does care where her babies end up and makes sure that the new homes know how to properly care for them. The babies are very socialized and handled with positive techniques. We recently visited Kathy to check out her new Illiger Macaws and just fell in LOVE!! You'd be VERY fortunate to get a parrot from her.

Kathy Opperman really loves the birds she raises. When you receive a bird from her, it is tame and as lovable as it could possibly be. She is a wonderful communicator, and a very sincere person. I`m so glad I found her, and my new Illigers mini macaw is too. I would recommend Kathy, and I would surely buy more birds from her. She sent me pictures pretty much as soon as she came out of the egg, on up until the day before she sent her, which I thought went above and beyond. She is special.
