I've been looking at the avian aqua clean device. Its a self cleaning bird cage essentially. I myself am full of questions; does anyone know of or seen these things? Why are they so much? Why is this the only design to be successful out of the many similar designs and patents? I've done my homework and can not quite understand why the systems are so much, they're just a pump and plexi glass! With that being said I am continuing on my adventure and seeking ways to make the device for myself. If it's successful I will let everyone know and apply for a patent. I'd really like everyones feedback on this, thanks so much

Hi Crystal,

Ive never seen one of those, only in the birdie magazines.  I used newpaper for the bottom of my cages...it's the only time I read the paper.  Except when a big glob of poop is on the end of a paragraph, I never get to find out what the ending was...

We did finally finish our project and have it up and running. We're working out the final details but they're very minor. I'm so excited because this mean no more taking out garbage bags of litter! The jets of water quickly pick up any unwanted food and fecal matter and sweep it down the tube. The birds love it! I think they like dropping bits of food just to see it swept away by the water. I'm starting a new design for my other cages, I'm hoping to make it small enough to replace the bedding tray so that I don't have the device sitting on the floor. So far so good!!

COOL!!  Im glad that it worked for you

LOL!  I can just imagine your birdies droppin pellets and watching them swirl about.
