| hello, I'm a new member. and i had purchased one pair and a single male. red rumped. about three weeks ago. from a breeder that was moving. and could not take her birds with her. anyways she had told me that they eat cockatiel feed. and they are. but the male just does not seem, to have quite the hearty appetite, that the pair does. is there some other diet i should have them on? i have tried to do research on net. but all they say in what they eat in wilderness. not captivity. so any help on this would be much appreciated... thank you Matrix

I feed my parakeets lots of fruit and veggies green veggies are especially good for them. They love it! Also millet and you can try pellets too! They might not eat the fruit and veggies at first but put it in there anyway everyday they'll soon eat it!
Love water it every day with happiness and a touch of caring!!!
