I am wondering about housing chicks together or apart. I have been a hobby breeder in the past, but always had parent raised chicks. I notice that online there are many pictures of chicks being kept in individual containers during hand feeding, and others where anywhere from 2-8 chicks are in the same box. Does anyone have an argument for one or the other? I assume it is easier to keep track of weight and lineage and such with only one chick per box, but does housing multiple chicks together have a healthy psychological impact? Thanks.

Time and effort indicate priority.
