I have a pair of cockatiels that are nesting on their second clutch
Of eggs but they are infertile. Can anybody tell me why this could be happening? And what can I do about it to make sure there is successfull breeding

Try taking the box off and letting them bond some more. Sometimes she is wanting to lay eggs so bad she goes in the box and doesn't wait on him. after 2 clutches she probably needs a little break anyhow.

I have a young female who is sitting on her third clutch and when I remove the box she continues to lay eggs in the bottom of the cage??? Don't want to have to purchase a male to keep her alive.
