| Hi I bought a meyers on here last week, they said he was a very sweet and handtame bird, posed to be trained to step up,i was all exited cause i had saved up for almost a year to get a handfeed meyers parrot,he arrived last thursday with delta,i pickt him up,had a hard time to get him out the grate cause he was very scart and try to get away, todays sunday,i still cant get near him,he runns to the back and flutters wild back and forth,i told the lady that i cant touch him but he posed to be a tame bird, she said that is just from the flight and stress,he never acted like that there ,and he been handled a lot and is handfeed.i feel ripped off cause all my other handfeed birds are tame and sweet,is this normal for a handfeed handled a lot meyers after a trip in the plane? i think they send me a breeder ,or hes not been handfeed.what you think? iam kind off upset cause iam out off a lot off money and really dont want this wild bird,i wanted a pet i can touch and hold like my little senegal girl i got local from a friend. what should i do she says i need to give it time .

| If the bird continues to be wild, then I would suggest to Call the breeder & tell them you want to return the bird because he is not tame.

| Hi and thank you, thats what i did,the lady told me that the bird was perfectly tame at her place, well here he is wild never ones i could touch him yet in the 2 weeks, cant even walk by,he even gave me a good bite that sweetie when i feed him,she that she take him back but i got to eat the shipping for comming and going back, and that everyone was always happy but me,ya hes a preety bird, but i wanted a handfeed one like promissed what i can touch and pet,at least i learned a lesson, you dont buy on the internet, you buy local were you can see the bird,i lost a year worse off savings ,it tookt forever for me to get that kind off money, iam still very dissapointed and sad,but as i said i learned no birds shipped anymore.
