| Although not in the pa.north east area, I am a hobby breeder of gouldians in lower Delaware I will be in the Pittsburgh area in late April the 25th for the bird expo in North Huntington. I have a sister who transplanted herself in Pittsburg many years ago or I would not probably being going that far for a show (free room and board for the weekend). Anyway not sure where you are but the same people are having a show in Medina Ohio so maybe one of these is close enough to you to go. They do have gouldian and other finches that are going to be there. If you want to know more about the shows put in ( pa exotic bird fair expo 2010) in a search with internet explorer. If you go to the Pa. expo love to meet you. Lisa

Hi, I am just getting back into breeding again here in NEPA. It would be nice to know someone close that also raises these little birds. I've bought a few Gouldian finches recently and hopefully will start breeding next year. I'm near Scranton/Wilkes-barre. Where are you? What finches are you planning on raising?
Thanks, Teresa

I live in upstate new york (near Syracuse) we are new to breeding. Right now we are in the process of getting new breeding pairs of Lady gouldians, we should have some beautiful babies including Blue Backs, Yellow Backs, Orange HEad etc. We are also in the process of breeding Stars, Cordon Blues and Owl Finches. I would love to have a group of breeders near me that I can communicate with.
