Hi,
I'm Roy. I'm 35. I had a parakeet for a while when i was a kid and just loved it. Unfortunately it died of a heart attack fairly soon after I got it. I haven't been in the position to care for a bird since. ...and was too young then, but now finally am able to care for a bird. I recently completed the AFA's Foundations of Aviculture course and am looking for a volunteer position to gain some hands on experience. Not too many breeders here in northern NJ and most animal shelters don't take birds unfortunately. Hello to all

Update: I now have 2 BH Caiques a proven pair around 8 years old. Just had them 3 days, but they're adjusting well with healthy appetites and droppings
