| Hi, We currently have two pet cockatiels on eggs. This was not completely intentional breeding, but I do have some experiance with handfeeding (have handfed finches, doves, and lovebirds) and have done a lot of research as to the diet the parents should be on and their care requirments. I was just wondering how breeders go about selling their birds. I would like to try to find homes or atleast interest for the babies before they even arrive. Also, what are the rules about needing a license to sell birds? Is there a certain number of breeding pairs or does it depend on whether it is a real breeding operation? I don't want to get in trouble for selling a few babies but I am also interested in possibly becomming a breeder in the future. I am in Wisconsin if that helps. Thanks for anything you can tell me to give me a bit of advice or info!!

how exciting for you. I am a breeder of parrotlets (we also have a few tiels, keets, lovies and conures) we are licensed business. You will have to look up the laws "rules" in your state. They are different in each state. there are great websites you can post your birds for sale (you do not have to have a lisense as a" hobby" breeder) local paper is great. Happy breeding
