I've been reading a lot about the Greater Vasa lately and am very interested in these birds. I plan on adding a new bird to the family after we move in the next two years and want to research as much as possible in that time.
I'd like to locate a breeder so that if we decide to go with a Vasa, we have an idea of who breeds them. Also, a general idea of the initial cost of one. I've heard that they need larger cages than most parrots, so I'll be looking at the largest possible cages. However, what is the ideal bar spacing for one? That will greatly narrow down my search.
From the reading that I've done thus far, they sound like a great match for what I'm looking for. I'd like to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly from those that have them or have experience with them, though. I'm not decided for sure, but this is a bird that I've really been drawn to lately.
