Hi. I have a breeding pair and they already had theyre first clust. yay! then, non of the eggs were fertile. anyways, I decided to train them a lttle bit while they rest for a few monthes. My male, Breezey, always flys all over when i get to cloe to him. My female, Sky, lunges at me and bites. I really dont want to take them out till they are finger trained, cuz it is a pain and Breezey once went really high up. Please help me!!!

I would never breed keets - there's millions of them out there...many of them are abused and neglected.  I've heard some people, just letting them go out in the wild, because they had too many.  I would discourage this altogether....plus, you don't want to lose the female from egg-binding, this can happen - and it's not pretty....

regards,

Manon

Considering that keets can live to be round about 20 years old, (I had one for 18 years 4 or 5 isnt but a teenager.

anyone who would just let a bunch of birds go because they have to many..shouldnt own any birds PERIOD!! People who think they are gonna get rich off of breeding birds shouldn't breed. But if you enjoy the birds..then breed them..becuase you will have the best birds..because you enjoy them!
