| As we all know only male parrotlets have blue rump and blue wing converts......however I am bit confused about my two birds......They are Blue Forpus parrotlets.........Both have blue rump and wing converts......however they have bonded in such a way that it looks like a proven pair...... I am confused as my friend says that it's a pair as it's not a normal blue forpus but he tells it's a mutation......... Can 2 male parrotlets bond eachother? Please guide me........... Thanks..................................

| Hi, Yes, 2 males can bond as well as 2 females can bond. This also includes "normal" mating behaviors such as mating with each other. When I say mating with each other I have never had 2 males "mate" with each other, but I have had hens do this, one takes the "male" position and the other the "female" position. My experience has only been with Pacifics.
