Do Caiques breed more males than female young. Here in Aus. we are breeding more males than females. These birds still sell for $11000 AUD a young pair, last sale I went to their was a spare young female Caique, the asking price was $9000 because of the lack of females being bred. Is this type of results happening over your way and could this be diet related.

We only feed sprouted seed mix - fruit & veg - and small dry seed mix re budgie mix, do you folks feed pellets and what is your thought on them for this type of birds.
