I have a dusky headed conure ((my first conure)) whos under 1 and hes biting me quite a bit.
He always wants to be with me and hang out with me but hell bite my fingers and i mean Bite.
I try not to react to((but most of the time when he does i say no in an authority like voice))
it when he bites me because if i do that would be considered rewarding him wouldnt it ?
Ive tried saying no ,lightly shaking the 'perch' which is my hand/arm , and ive tried blowing on him, and i cant grab his beak because that is like beak wrestling/playing.I also have a cockatiel and i when i have them both out he goes after the cockatiels feet and wings. I cant find anything that works.
I know hes just a baby but I want to stop it or minimize it before it becomes a bad habit because I really love him.

Hi,

Explain more of when he does this please, i.e.  when you "up up" him, or try to put him back in or to his cage, etc...  I also would just keep him away from your tiel, its not worth bloodshed to have them out together.  Also, how long have you had him?

Try putting him on top of his cage and putting his favorite treat on the inside.  When he goes in close the door behind him.  This is something that I use with my birds sometimes.  Some would say if I offer a bribe. But, if it keeps me from getting bitten, and my birds from biting and they go into the cage willingly then why not.

Try stick training him.  Hold a dowel rod perch in one hand, and teach him to step up on to that and then onto your fingers, then back on the perch again.  Once he gets the hand of that then you might be able to successfully return him to his cage without getting nailed.
