I maybe able to buy a Male Manday. I have two females who are laying eggs. Would it be possible to put one Male Manday in with two bonded females. I have a cage that is large enough to house three Mandays'. When I originally bought the first two Mandays' one was supposed to be male and the other female, they are both females. Now I have the opportunity to buy a male Manday I am hopping it will be ok.  Any advice would helpful and appreciated.

Do you mean Nanday?  No, I wouldnt put one male in with 2 girlies....especially if theyre going to be put into a breeding situation.

Stacy: Would you suggest that I put one female in the cage with the male and at a later time put the other in. In other words taking them out of their cage when they breed. Then putting the other female in to breed. The two females are bonded and have laid 8 eggs each. Both sitting on the eggs they laid. So I think they are ready to breed. I really don't want to get two males I had a hard time locating this male. They make a big racket with just 2. My house sounds like a zoo now.

Thank you for your advice.  Louise

Hi Louise,

I would put a male/female pair in one cage and leave them, even when they arent breeding.  The other female I would either keep or sell.  I would also put up a barrier so that the pair has privacy and so they can't see the "single gal".  Hearing each other is fine...

Thanks Stacy I have decided not to purchase the male until I can get two. I don't want to sell the females they are noisy but loveable.  Louise

It may be tough to find two males at the same time unless someone else is in your situation and has a pair set up that turns out to be two males. I would agree with Stacy to put one female with the male and then look for another male down the line for the other female.  Nandays while being super loud are one of the sweetest Conures out there.

Good Luck in your search and try using this site to find your other needed male.. Greg has made it pretty easy to find what you need by state and the results may surprise you.
