Hi everyone I have four parakeets and two nests boxes. Is there any way I can encourage them to mate. They are always kissing and pruning one another. Any information would be helpful

The boxes being up and offering a diet rich in protein would be a good start.

Stacy I now have four eggs in each parakeets nest. The females are sitting, I am running out of cages. Between the four lovebirds that are almost ready to come out of the nest. In that nest I have three green blue and one latino with green lblue tail feathers. I think one of the green blue will have yellow neck feathers. They are beautiful. I am planning on keep the latino and selling the other three, because I am running out of space. They are peach face love birds. Their mother & father are blue green and the female is nasty. I just thought I would let you know.

Congrats on your babies!! You could always use the proceeds from selling the babies to buy another cage or two (one for the baby you are keeping). Sounds like you are headed in the right direction..

Hi everyone one pair of my parakeets produced four babies. The other pair seemed to have forgotten about the nest. I checked and the eggs were blank. The babies are so small and beautiful. My cockatiels presented me with one baby today on mothers day. There are three more eggs and I guess they will hatch pretty soon.

I know you are supposed to remove the nest from the love birds after they wean their babies. For a while, when I went to remove the nest there were two new eggs. When would be a good time to remove the nest this time.  Weize
