Folks, if any of you go onto other listing site's that let you list for free, you will find

alot of fraudulent advertising, like baby Hyacinth's for $2000.00and Baby Black Palms

for 900.00, its a fraud.  and if you are asked to call 00237 or +237, its Cameroon, I have

had 6 individuals arrested so far, as they are using parts of my aviary name, and even changed

the spelling of my last name, and claim they are a Doctor.  Any adds like that, reporto them

to the inernationpolice, & IRS. as they are actively trying to shut these thiefs down.  Because

I have stood up and taken action, they attack me back by pretending to be me.  All of my birds, and myself are here in Phoenix

Thank you for keeping the public aware!  I have had run-ins with these people also when looking into Hyacinths.  Aves International has a very informative peice on them (there you'll see the theifs will also try to sell you a talking monkey...).  When I was dealing with them, one was going under the name Vicki from Cameroon.  As a hint, she said 'ok' constantly at at the end of sentences.

Wow! Am I ever glad I stumbled upon this thread! I live in Japan, and I'm having a horrible time trying to find an Eclectus without supporting one of Japan's hellish pet stores. In my desperation, I've been in contact with several people who've listed free online classified ads for parrots and parrot eggs. If anyone can look at these e-mails and let me know if they're bogus (I'm highly suspicious), then I'd really appreciate it.

Here's an e-mail from "Bob Dilan", apparently living in Cameroon:

hello jon and sorry for the late reply.iu was out for a bird fair alll these days and just comming back.yes it is possible to ship them over and it must be via express pet service delivery.i am located upper mt region,Farm rd,British cameroons and it will take 9 to 12 hours night delivery insured and guaranteed to Kobe japan.i do have both eggs and parrots for sale.
get back for any other concerns
and let ,e know if you want to breed or just spoil as pets
regards
Bob
call me on +23775206425

And here's another one from "Terry Max" who oddly likes to end her sentences with random OKs:

have macaw eggs that have 6 more days for hatching i will
ship them with my auto turning incubator which has already been
regulated with the hatching temperature an which must be return
back to me as soon as they hatch ok and when they finally hatch you
will need a brooder to raise up the babies .A brooder is similar to an
incubator but the only differnce is that it regulate the body
temperature of the babie to grow wings while undergoing feeding ok.
i want you to mail to me your full detail adress including your home
number because they will be shiped right to you door steps by and
experience carrier. The eggs will cover a distance flight of 8 hours to your location and do not forget to mail me your phone okay,

Anyway, I haven't sent these people any money, but I'm still trying very hard to find a healthy young eclectus (or two) for my home. If anyone has any suggestions for a reputable international breeder or a humane breeder living in Japan, I'd really appreciate any information.

Thanks!

Jon

PS: Is it even feasible/possible to ship an egg in an incubator? Is buying any egg off the internet a dumb idea? Sorry if this question is stupid, but I've never hatched birds before and I have no idea.

BTW... try "Parrots of the World".   I don't know the exact URL...  I do believe that they have the proper licensing to ship out of the US, Im not sure though.  Good luck!
